APFS and HFS+ benchmarks: filesystem latency comparison on macOS High Sierra

Picture shows latency comparison on encrypted and unencrypted APFS and HFS+ filesystems. This is the average time in which a filesystem responded to a 4K ‘ping’ during a 10 minutes long test. APFS filesystem has visibly slower response times, especially when encrypted. This may be noticable in some workflows.
