APFS and HFS+ benchmarks – blogbench write score. Blogbench is a filesystem stress tool that imitates a hosting environment. While it sounds like it may not be an ideal benchmarking utility for a laptop or workstation, Blogbench creates multiple write / read / rewrite operations, uses 8K chunks of data and was used primarily because of multi-threading.
